Number 194 to be exact. And this week I have to admit I am a Slob-o-lee. My goodness what a mess on my desk! Julia at the Stamping Ground hosts a weekly look around...always fun!
Fortunately I have a good excuse. Here in the US we had a three day weekend which means I had lots of time to play in the Fun Room. First off I started on the March project for the Stamp Cache, my local stamp store. This time it's a mini album, but the Bo Bunny paper we're using is pretty cool so I'm enjoying the process. It's in a little mini heap on the upper left side of the desk. All I have left to do is the cover. An art journal page is front and center, and then it's just a bunch of mess.
Somewhere along the weekend though I got side tracked and just had to make this canvas for a friend of mine. To learn more about this, check out this post.
I do have a question for folks this week: how do you store your stencils? I keep mine in a plastic folder for scrapbook paper but they often get caught up in each other. Does anyone have a better solution?
I'm all ears! Hope you have time to play in your Fun Room this week.

Great fun on the desk. Love love the canvas! I store my stencils flat in a drawer. Some I keep in their original package. I slit the end so I don't have to deal with the sticky stuff and opening n closing bit. I've seen peeps punch a small hole in a corner and hang them from a ring, too. I like the drawer. Have a great week. Happy WOYWW! Nan 7

Hi Sara,
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I love Alaska. Although I haven't seen the interior, I did a cruise a few years ago along the Inside Passage and loved it. You live in a beautiful part of the world! I also just finished a book called "The Snow Child" that was written by Eowyn Ivey who lives in Alaska (the book takes place in Alaska).
I love all the inks and markers you have close at hand! Your canvas is great too. I love the sentiment.
Thank you for visiting me!
Happy WOYWW

ReplyDeleteLove your desk - so much to see. Great canvas too, lovely words. Flimsy stencils I store in plastic wallets. Happy WOYWW Gill x #103
ReplyDeleteLove your desk in Alaska! I store mine in original cellophane packets, sticky bits removed, in an expanding A4 wallet, that is suitable for a ring binder, but I just keep it as it is under my desk.

I store mine in page protectors in an album. Saw the idea on Ronda Palazzari's blog-Help me Ronda
ReplyDeleteI love your desk, it looks like you've been having fun! Great canvas too :)

Your page is fabulous and I adore the canvas, the sentiment is lovely! I am still looking for a way to store my stencils! Thank you for visiting me and have a good week xx#138
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, the desk is not that bad LOL! Looks like fun! As for the stencils I too have yet to find the best way because they are all diffrent sizes and I keep interesting die cut leftover to use as stencils too! I have a crop in style binder that some are in in page protectots, an accordian file (dollar spot at target) and a shallow drawer, I did not realize I that so many stencils til now! Oh and there is a narrow shelf with some on it...I think a pile is the way to go LOL! Happy WOYWW! Lindsay #115
