WOYWW #201

Ah yes, the Tuesday night ritual.

Whoops. Secret's out I guess. Yes it's still Tuesday night here in beautiful, SNOWY Palmer Alaska but it's already Wednesday in Julia's World where for some amazing reason I can not fathom she has been linking us up so we can peak into other crafty dens and see what's about. It's an amazing group of kind, generous souls and I really do look forward to seeing what folks are up to Great Britain, Oz, the US, South Africa and points beyond. And the kindest is our friend Julia, who organizes it every week - when she's not looking for little white squares.

I'm afraid I'm a tad bit boring this week. Had to  finish some class samples and a birthday present which you can check out here if you would like, and then horror of horrors, I actually spent most of Sunday cleaning (which tells you I do not spend most Sundays that way). I did tidy up a bit in the Fun Room and moved in a TV tray at the end of my desk which gives me a little bit of space.

See? At the other end of the desk, but the wall.

Well maybe not, but it is nice to have a bit more space on the desk. The baggie in front is a full of NEW paints - twinkling H2O's and Silk Acrylic Glazes for a class I'm taking from Dion Dior in 21 Secrets. I can't wait. I had forgotten how sparkly and luminescent they are. I have a totally crush on Dion right now. Her work is spectacular and she seems like such a nice, grounded person.

Back to my desk - my art journal is right where I left it with an unfinished 21 Secrets project called Doodling our Way which has been amazingly fun and restful. And then there is the usual this and thats.

I was actually pretty disciplined about the doodling project. I  pulled out a color range of Copic markers and then stuck to it...certainly helps the page flow better. When it's done next week, I'll show you. I'm posting this page because you can actually see the window sill....I thought it might be nice to have proof it was clean--once.

Hope you all have a lovely week and enjoy the people you love.

  1. A clean window sill huh??? I think you deserve a medal for that! ;). Did you find all sorts of interesting things when you were tidying up? I love doing that and all sorts of forgotten lovelies resurface! Tell you what, Sara, I wouldn't mind seeing a close up of that lovely picture on the wall above the end of your desk....I adore abstract patterns of all sorts and that just appealed to me!! I know...completely bonkers......
    Hugs, LLJ 35 xxxx

  2. I agree with Jan, a close up of the picture on the wall - it grabbed my eye too!! Love your tidy desk.... Helen, 8

  3. Sounds like you've been busy, and I love all your creative goodies on your desk! Everyone seems to be doin' the H2O thing right now. I have Perfect Pearls but to be honest, they are in a large drawer with all my other "bought but haven't played with yet" toys! I really need to USE all my cool stuff...like you are!

    Happy crafting!

  4. What a fun, productive desk. I love all your little buckets with the pens & such.

    Happy Woyww,

  5. I agree with you. The group of WOYWWers are the kindest people you'll meet! I was lucky enough to actually meet Di from Pixie's Crafty Workshop last year when she and her husband were here in the US on holiday - only 30 miles from where I live!

Your desk looks very creative and fun!
    I love your doodle page!!!

    Happy WOYWW

  6. Love, Love all that you have been working on. Your canvas is wonderful and what a special gift! Your journal pages are awesome!!!

  7. Such a fun desk you have there! I have yet to try much doodling, for some reason I am not sure how to begin and it never looks good. I know, I must practice this! Your journal page is just lovely. Such lovely colors. I love the quilt block hanging, so pretty!! Enjoy the week! Winnie#75

  8. Very organised desk! I have now had a glass of wine and I am still trying to visit everyone so my message may be incoherent lol! jenx 129

  9. SARA! YOU definitely are a good for me. :) Thank you so much for your words of wisdom and for visiting me to see a piece of your legacy. ;) Big hugs, SueC#98

  10. p.s. LOVE what's happening on your desk. Looks like some great pages. SueC#98

  11. What a bright happy place...love those red buckets...so cheery!

  12. Love the page in your journal and what a good idea to stick to a range of colours and not overload it. May have to pinch that idea Lol.

  13. Hi Sara, love all your lovely pots of pens - very colourful. And your windowsill gallery is lovely too, but two colour wheels? Your journal page is fab - it pays to be disciplined with the colour range your working with. Enjoy your class with Dion and have an enjoyable weekend. Elizabeth x #40

  14. G'day Sara
I've resigned myself to the fact that I shall ever be running late to get to others blogs due to my work but here I am. Ok can you come to Oz and clean my window and desk in the art room here LOL. Love the look of your doodle journal but I too am intrigued by the wall hanging on the wall!

  16. Hi Sara, I can never remember if you are ahead of time or not - is it still Tuedsay? if so belated WOYWW greetings for last week - I didn't do one as ricked my neck and was a bit awkward using pc so thought I'd catch up now. Great desk, you're gonna have so much fun with the H20s - the silk acrylic glazes sound great too.
See you tomorrow hopefully... Gill x

Thanks so much for leaving a few words...it's so much fun to get feedback! Here's wishing you sunny skies (at least proverbially!)
