Sunday Stampers in Bloom

This week, the Sunday Stampers brain child of Hels Sheridan theme is paper roses. She makes them look so easy - no matter, the size, color or material. For the life of me, I don't know how she manages to curve the two and one petal pieces both out and in and the same time....see it even sounds weird. But I managed to get a couple done.....

I used one the first background tags I made in Tim Holtz's great on line class Creative Chemistry which consisted of blending distress inks into pretty shadings. Really. How fun is that? I got so caught up in the colors, I almost forgot the stamp! As in Sunday Stampers. I used Tim's large flourish in Mustard Seed Distress Ink. Pretty subtle, but as I said I was enamoured with the colors.

I have a couple of the new Ideology pieces now - the metal bands with sentiment have some great thoughts. A bit of ribbon, a few embossed flowers, the proverbial wing, a bumble bee and I was done. My sweetie came up to the Fun Room tonight, smiled, and asked what are you going to do with all those tags...I think I'll just enjoy the colors a while.
